When remapping a diesel, we aim to increase these qualities within the safety limits of the car. If you choose to remap or retune your diesel engine, you will notice an improvement in increased horsepower, torque, better throttle response, smoother power delivery and improved fuel economy, along with safer overtaking. We achieve these outcomes by matching parameters, boost pressure, fuel delivery and adjust the maps electronically to limit the torque, throttle response and top speed. All the information is found in the ECU, and is optimised by our trained technicians.

What is “remapping”?

If you decided to get your fleet remapped, a member of the team from Rapid Remaps will be able to tune the electronic control units in your vehicles so that you can get the best possible performance out of them. This tuning involves altering the manufacturers' settings away from the "standard" settings which your vehicle is automatically configured with when it rolls out of the factory, and changing them to settings which are more appropriate for the way that you use your vehicles. Remapping can improve the overall performance of your vehicle, as well as helping to cut your fuel consumption levels. One method via which Rapid Remaps technicians are able to cut drivers' fuel consumption levels is by altering setting so that the torque is increased slightly when at lower revs, but reduced slightly when in the higher ranges. This is just one trick that technicians are able to use to make your vehicles work better for your needs, but there are plenty of other tricks which can be used.
